The gliding Club "SG Schaffhausen" bought this Rhoenlerche (RL) in 1975 from the another club called SG Rastatt (Germany). Till 1980 they flown with it on the airfild Schmerlat. After that time SGS club sold that glider to Mr. P. Wagner lived in Eschenz. He was a glider lover but he did not have licence. He bough that glider in CHF 1200 only.(insured and prepared for flying).

But in 3rd oct.1993 Mr. Wagner order to Mr. Richi Schneider to sell that glider. And finally Mr.Werner Roth bought it in CHF 1000 and started immediatly restoring. At this time the RL had total 14’826 starts and 1614 hour on his back.

But Mr. Roth has to build some part of his house and also he needed 3 years time for restoring the other glider called Kranich HB- 475 but the work of the Rhoenlerche was not completed until the year 2000.

It was necessary for restoring the Oldtimer-trailer named "Husch" builded in 1949. This single trailer was use for a long time as glider in the gliding club called "SG Cumulus". Eventually they whant it put away to the scrap. Mr. Fips Rothenbuehler saw immediatly the opportunity for the Oldtimer S-19 or RL. And now this vehicle is saved for the posterity.
